Trouble Importing XviD in Avid Media Composer- Solution

This article covers troubleshooting problems when loading XviD files to Avid Media Composer as well as the quick solution to the issue. Check it now.

Trouble Importing XviD in Avid Media Composer- Solution
I've been sent some material from a lipstick camera which has been recorded as an Xvid AVI file. Does anyone know if it's possible to import the XviD into Media Composer? Or can it be converted into a file which the AVID can then take in?

Looking around for any decent tutorials, I have some clues. If you have the DivX codec installed on your machine, it is capable of playing back XviD material and thus you should then be able to import the Xvid AVI into Avid Media Composer. Failing that, there are lots of video conversion tools which should be able to help you out.

Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac is highly recommended here. The program is an easy-to-use yet professional Xvid Converter for Mac. It's able to convert Xvid files to Avid Media Composer more compatible DNxHD .mov video. With it, you may also encode Xvid, DivX, WMV, MKV, XAVC S/XAVC to Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, FCE, iMovie and more NLE programs highly compatible formats for editing. If meet the Xvid codec to MC issues on Windows PC, please get Brorsoft Video Converter to solve the problem.
